Matthew

Matthew Chapter one: The genealogy and birth of Jesus. God gave Mary a child before she was married and told Joseph to follow through with the marriage.
Matthew Chapter two: Joseph moves the family to stay safe. The king was seeking to kill Jesus. After being tricked by the wise astronomers, who he sent out to find the baby, the king decided to kill all baby boys in that area. God told Joseph to take Jesus and Mary and go away from there. He listened to God and moved to fulfill prophecy and to keep Jesus safe.
Matthew Chapter three: John prepares the way and baptizes Jesus. God and the Holy Spirit are present at the baptism and God declares that Jesus is His son who is pleasing to Him.
(2) Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
(17) This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.
Matthew Chapter four: Jesus is tempted, ministered to, and beings his ministry
(17) Jesus began to preach and say repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Matthew Chapter five:
(3-11) Blessed are those who...Jesus lists actions and characteristics of those who are blessed and open to receiving God.
(12-17) Salt, light, fulfill... Jesus tells us what we are like and our purpose to fulfill and bring about the kingdom.
(18-20) Who is going to the kingdom? Whoever keeps and teaches the laws. Your righteousness must surpass that of ther, pharisees.
(21-30) No gray area! Poop brownies! Even anger is murder and looking with lust is adultery. Flee from the sin and cut it off. You can't just sin a little bit and think it's OK. It's not a small deal its eternity or death.
(31-48) Give more than others expect, mean what you say, love your enemy! Go the extra mile and you will stand out because you are a person who is loving toward your enemies, or strangers. Let your yes be a yes and your no be a no.
Matthew Chapter six :Come on, be real, God wants a real relationship with you.
(1-7) If you want to be rewarded in heaven stop trying to gain recognition here on Earth. God doesn't deserve your second hand charity or pretend prayer. He deserves the real deal. He wants the real us. The real relationship. If we are trying
(10) May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
(13) [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.]
(33)But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.-The things you need like clothes and food.
(8-13)Pray for the coming of His kingdom!
(14-18) Seriously? Forgive people. Stop trying to be noticed by others! Don't be proud or gloomy to get attention for your "serving the Lord."
(19-34) Where is your heart really? You can't serve two Gods. You either serve men and yourself or God. If your gaining glory here your focus is here. If you gaining in heaven then your focus is  in heaven. God will take care of those who do His will , so relax.
Stop trying to show off. If your trying to get people to pay attention to you then you are serving people, not God. When you give and your looking at other people for recognition and pray hoping they listen to your big fancy words, you are not doing something with or for God. You can't keep doing that to yourself. It's splitting you in half and your focusing on gaining brownie points on Earth. But those Brownie points are not forever (they rot away...eww rotten brownies). You don't have to keep filling your pockets with them. If you do, you won't be thinking about heaven. You will be thinking about your pockets. Stop worrying about pleasing others and gaining clothes and food and stuff. God will take care of you. Earn brownie points with Him! Pray for His kingdom and will, His goodness and ideas to play out.
Matthew Chapter seven:
(21) Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
(28-29) When Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were amazed at His teaching for He was teaching them as one having authority, and not as their scribes
(1-2) Don't judge less you be judged... You will be judged the same way you are judging others.
(3-5) Get the log out of your eye first. Don't think that you can help clean up others lives if you aren't cleaning up yours too. If you are trying to point out others sins and are sinning yourself then you can't see clearly to help out.
(6-11) Ask,seek,find... If you ask and seek God he will provide for you. A earthly father wouldn't give his son rocks instead of something good. God loves you so much more than an earthly father could. He will surely provide what is good to you.
(12-20)Treat people as you would like to be treated. It is hard to find the path through the narrow gate, especially with so many false prophets. It is difficult business trying to find the truth. many people will try to tell you lies. Pay attention to their fruits! Pay attention to the characteristics and actions of the people around you.
(21-27)Not everyone will enter the kingdom You have got to be obedient. If you are doing Gods will you will enter, but it's difficult to survive the storms. You need to get a solid foundation.
